Resources for those who want to be WAHMS

blogA lot of WAHMs don’t realize they can make money from not only blogging on their own site, but by working as a professional blogger on other sites, as well.

I’ve been looking into doing this myself, so that I might become a self-made millionaire. Who knows, maybe it will happen soon?

I’ve contacted several companies and sent in my “blogging resume.” Most of you will find that weird to do since I had no clue how to type up my resume. I decided what was best for me was to treat it like a regular resume. Here are some tips for writing a blogging resume of your own:

1. Treat it like it is a real, out-of-home job. When you’re writing your resume, or after you’ve secured the job, get dressed and be ready as if you’re going out to work.

2. Check the dates you started your website, and the dates of your first posts.. Include links to some of your more popular, professionally written posts.

3. Include your website’s Google page rank, Alexa rank, and Technorati rank, if they are good.

4. If you’ve had the opportunity to guest blog on other websites, link to those entries.

5. Specify you’re a WAHM/SAHM, how many months or years you have been blogging, and that you love (insert genre) and feel you’re knowledgeable on the subject, but instead of creating a whole new blog for you to promote and work on you’d love to work for a blogging community, writing for them on a subject you feel comfortable and great about.

Websites I have found to be helpful in the search for blogging positions include Problogger Job Board, Indeed.com, BloggerJobs.biz, and Jobster.com.

  4. You might also want to consider mentioning how many estimated RSS subscribers you have too. I can’t remember where you can find that out, perhaps with your WordPress statistics, or Google “find out your RSS subscribers”?

  5. nice tips.. but I do not have confident to write in other blog, I’m not a good writer.. maybe after two years blogging and posting several professional article I can apply as writer in other site.. for now I still blogging in my own site and increasing my earning using my blog
