Utilizing Stumble Upon
Stumble upon has been a great tool for Pajama Mommy. Now, since I run the IBakeSale Blog I’ve been using it to promote the new blog. If you don’t realize how good it is. The first post had over 758 hits to it because of stumble. I am in two stumble groups. One is new that is run by myself and my friend Amy who owns As A Mother, and also who took over my website The Blog World and has been doing really great with it.
We created a Yahoo! Group because one of the draw backs from the original stumble list is that you get emails daily. Well I run several websites and deal with tons of companies and my email box is full every day. So I am enjoying the Yahoo! Group because of the fact that I get weekly Digests and can do my stumbling on one day instead of every day at the end of the day. Granted it could be a lot but, I keep a day open for it.
Some people say that you don’t get targeted traffic for stumble upon. I say yes and no. I use stumble upon every day. I take 15 minutes out of my day to find new sites, I book mark A LOT of them. I also return regularly. So you may not get all the traffic returning but you do get a lot of new readers, and you can gain returning ones. So it is an important feature not enough people are utilizing. I believe it is really good for businesses. It is one of my main sources of traffic for Pajama Mommy.
So I have attached the Yahoo! Stumble Upon sign up form. For everyone to join! Just remember you need to stumble other sites and never stumble your own website.
