Tsai-fi Review
In the last few years I’ve seen more and more Japanese-themes toys and jewelry and such. The uprising of Kawaii and little Japanese dolls has brought a smile to my face for years. I love the cute little happy faces and the adorable styles all of the dolls and accessories come in. I stumbled upon Tsai-fi, pronounced like sci-fi, and I got all giddy over all of the goodies in the shop. There’s something for everyone in there from clothing to jewelry to fine art prints. The first things I loved were the plushies! There are Katkeshi dolls, which is a cute spin on the Japanese Kokeshi doll, but the plush is a kitty in the same shape and style of a Kokeshi. And when you open the Katkeshi’s kimono, she’s wearing pasties! I thought that was funny that a cute little kitty is wearing pasties. The Dust Kitti and Dust Bunni are two of the signature designs by Tsai-fi and I think they are some of the most darling designs I’ve seen. The jewelry is also gorgeous; there are Chinese astrology pieces, and sterling silver charms of the Dust Bunnis and Katkeshis. The art prints are absolutely gorgeous. All of them are original pieces by the creator of Tsai-fi.
I got to review one of the Katkeshi figurines from Tsai-fi. The figurines are small and made of wood and painted by hand. I was impressed that the entire figurine was hand-painted because of the great attention to detail. The kitty is flawless! Her pretty eyelashes are beautifully painted along with the rest of the patterns on her kimono. It’s a beautiful addition to my desk. No matter what kind of cuteness you want to add to your life – clothes, artwork, jewelry, or home decorations – Tsai-fi will have something you’ll love!
