Traveling with Baby
As a family, our weekends are filled with mini-vacations to visit with our non-local family and friends. Having two small children used to mean packing a house load of things to keep them comfortable and entertained while on the road, but lately, we have found that less is better. We have mastered putting all of our clothing (mine, my husbands and our 2 children’s) clothes and diapers/wipes into one suitcase. We then pack one extra bag for some smaller toys, snacks and baby’s feeding supplies.
Rather than dragging along a pack-n-play for our infant, we have found that using an infant travel bed is much more accommodating. Our infant travel bed has a collapsible frame, is lightweight and full of storage. We purchased the Eddie Bauer Infant Travel Bed, which came with two soft toys, a fitted sheet, and padded sides/bottom to make babies sleep more comfortable.
Now I know that not all infant travel beds are not created equally, so you should probably consider your options before making a purchase. I am very happy with the Eddie Bauer Infant Travel Bed, but I also know people who prefer other makes/designs. Something else to keep in mind when making this type of purchase is how easy it is to clean, as well as to store.
I hope I have helped solved any sleeping dilemmas some of you PJ Mommy’s have when it comes to travel. And just remember, this is only ONE type of infant travel bed!

whenever you go out put a disposable changing pad on top of a hotel towel), and stack a bunch of diapers in one area. That way, you won’t need to chase down the diaper bag when that first big poop occurs.
