As the holiday’s wrap up, I have found myself desperately trying to find a storage solution for my new presents. I am not sure if you have noticed, but camera cases, laptop cases and/or phone cases have always lacked in the style department. I dragged my feet looking for a laptop case and camera case because in all reality, I just was not happy about the options available to me.

Motherhood is not always glamorous- with the unwashed hair look, baggy sweats and the occasional stained t-shirt. I can remember the first week after bringing my son home, how overwhelmed I felt about taking care of him, keep the house in order and take time out to try to squeeze some exercise into the mix. Boys’ Sport Squall Parka from Land’s End
I was recently given the opportunity to review the Sport Squall Parka for my son Ethan. Of course, I said yes. I mean, who would turn down Land’s End? Their products are some of the most fabulous things I’ve put my hands on.
Upon arrival, Ethan tore into the package like it was Christmas. He couldn’t wait to try on the coat! Once we got him into the coat and zipped it up, he began noticing the features. He was in love the many pockets, as they were perfect places to hide his “seeds” and he was especially impressed by the hood of the coat.
Land’s End has always impressed me for their great quality, but also because of their attention to small details. Though you cannot see it in this picture, their is a seam of reflective material on the hem, which is completely genius. Especially when making coats for children.
Living in Michigan, I can tell you that in the couple of weeks since this coats arrival, we have gotten a great deal of use out of it and so far I have only found one downside. Those pockets? They are a little too good at doing their job. My son is absolutely in love with the storage capacity. He can fit more rocks in those pockets than a farmer finds in his fields. And though the price is a little bit higher at approximately $70, I would say it is well worth every penny.
I’m The Daddy T-Shirts
When my husband and I got pregnant, we were more than excited. Our little girl is a miracle, a true blessing and we wanted everyone to know about our pregnancy. Pregnancy is usually about the woman. The woman carries the baby, experiences the pains, the aches, the emotional side effects. We even get to have the stretch marks, morning sicknesses, and even the uncontrollable heart burns. But, one thing a woman gets to experience that is absolutely beautiful is the baby movements. I enjoy feeling the kicks, the hiccups, and the “butterfly” feeling. I want my husband to be part of every moment in this pregnancy. I include him in the doctor appointments, the pain/symptoms that are occurring, and let him know when the baby is active so he can feel her move. We have been going to Lamaze classes, so he can be there and even participate in her birth. Sometimes, the man just misses out. Skipping Hippos
As I a parent, I have often times found myself completely unprepared for what is to come. And many of you are probably thinking that I am talking about my diaper bag, but I am not. Sadly, I am that obsessed mama who repacks the bag as soon as we get home from wherever we may have been. I am talking about jackets, coats, etc. Now that spring time is quickly approaching, I find myself adding jackets to our list of things to drag along just in case.
And while a jacket may have worked perfectly for my son in the past, things have changed. I have a daughter- a five month old diva that loves to wear all things cute and trendy. Instead of putting my little “Queenie” into a spring jacket, I plan on covering her up with an adorable poncho (or two) from Skipping Hippos.
