Last Minute Gift Idea
The Holiday season is slowly winding down, but there are a few more people – colleagues, friends, and teachers – that you feel still need a small something, a token of appreciation maybe, but you just don’t have a ton of money left over to fit in one more present.
Hmmm… how to resolve? Simple, a homemade gift, for soaking out the stress after a long Holiday buying season that has had them running around just as crazy as you have been this past month.
Gifts in a jar are a great idea when you have run out of ideas. They are easy to make, don’t require a lot of money, and even your children can pitch in and help. From drink mixes, to cookies, soups, and even beauty products, these small tokens are sure to be a big hit.
One recipe that I have found to be a great gift, which I did give to colleagues this Holiday season, Bath Salts. OrganizedChirstmas.com has a wonderful Candy Cane Bath Salt that is sure to be a hit. It was a great smell throughout my home and the recipe yields enough gift jars to supply 12 people, plus a little for me too!
Supplies are simple – a few items are: Epsom salt, glycerin, and essential oil. Once combined, these bath salts will make a beautiful, aroma-filled, stress relieving gift anyone on your list would love to have.

You can always switch it up too. Candy Cane is a great recipe for the Winter Holidays, but there are a ton of other occasions where Candy Cane might not be the perfect aroma. Do you have a lavender fan expecting a baby soon? Maybe Teacher appreciation day is coming up and nothing is better than some Peaches N Cream in a hot, steamy bath. Use the same basic ingredients, just change out the oils!
