Eating Healthier

TheDomesticDiva.OrgSo I have less than 2 months to lose twenty pounds! Yikes, I know. Well my youngest son will turn one in May so my goal is to lose all of my baby fat by his first birthday, that means I am getting not only myself healthy but also my family. Here are a few products that are helping us eat a little better these days…

Ronzoni Healthy Harvest is a whole wheat pasta you can pick up at your grocery store to add some extra health benefits over your traditional white pasta meals.

We all loved Pop Tarts growing up, now you can get the favorite flavor of pop tarts in a whole wheat version. Whole Wheat Pop Tarts are also available right in your grocery store next to your other favorite pop tart flavors.

Last but not least another “healthy alternative” food item I’ve incorporated into our lives is Horizon Organic Milk. If you have ever read any of the horror stories of the way milk is produced you will definitely want to switch your family over to organic or even no milk at all. Since my family live on milk we can’t quit the stuff cold turkey but we can go organic which is a lot healthier because organic milk contains no hormones.

Until next week…Keep it Healthy!

  1. Okay, you really freaked me out about the milk – is it that bad for those beautiful cows? That’s it, I’m switching totally to organic milk (I only buy it now when on sale). And, is Ronzoni better tasting than Barilla? I saw the Ronzoni at my grocery store and both look soooo good. I’ll take your advice – thank you – and pick up some tomorrow on shopping day. Pop-Tarts are not my thing but Oreos are! : )

  2. We have tried to Ronzoni pasta and it tastes a little different tha regular pasta. But it is not bad, and the benefit outweighs the negatives. I didn’t realize regular milk was much different than organic. We use 2% and I’m trying to switch to 1%. We will see how that goes with my Husband, who grew up on Whole Milk lol.

  3. Try drinking organic. I personally prefer organic whole milk it just tastes so much better.

Granted whole milk isn’t good for you. Heck you honestly can’t really get any vitamins from milk. Speak to a nutritionist I did they are the ones who told me!

  4. Whole Wheat Pop-Tarts?!?!?

I am in Heaven! Pop-Tarts are my weakness. They are easy, they are fast and they are GOOD! I am glad to see that they have tried to become a little healthier with some wheat!

I found your website from a friend’s blog and have found it very entertaining and helpful! Unfortunately, I still have 15lbs of baby weight I need to lose…and my little one is 2 1/2! YIKES!

  5. Thanks guys for commenting. Yes definitely go organic whenever you can especially with milk. I get it whenever I can but it is super hard trying to get my whole milk husband to switch, the kids they don’t care.

The more wheat the better. I’m definitely trying to get more healthy. I’ve lost 6 of the 20 lbs. I need off in a month. A little a day is what I say.
