Christmas Shopping For An Acquaintance
This is how I feel most of the time for a lot of people I know. I want to get them a gift but I unfortunately do not know them well enough to really pick a gift that is suitable for their personality. This works the same if you’re meeting someones parents for the first time, or have a co-worker you’re buying a gift for. Now one of the biggest mistakes people make is getting something flamboyant. If you know off hand that they wear crazy ties thats fine! Go out of your way to get them 
something that reflects what you know in their personality. However, when in doubt go subtle. Belisi Fashions is really good for finding ties for any occasion. There were several more I absolutely loved. For me personally I would have chosen something more flamboyant, if Fil were to wear suits and ties. I think choosing a solids that is not a color some one can commit to a certain suit color is great. If you buy something neutral enough you want to make sure it can go with anything anywhere. Shopping online is good for a lot of these things since depending on how many people you buy for you find a lot of really good deals. There’s also sites now where you can swap gift cards you may not want. I”m never sure my son will like the gift cards I get him for stocking stuffer, so I got them through Leveragecard.com. If he doesn’t like the place I got the cards from, he can go in and trade with other users. It makes a gift card much more usable.
