I enjoy doing crafts every now and then and am redecorating my bedroom so I found a great few items. It takes a certain amount of panache, and certainly the right dress style, but gloves are slowly coming back into style for the most fashion-forward brides. Yes, gloves. Opt for wrist-length white leather gloves for a glamorous way to keep warm at a winter wedding, or don all-out opera length silk gloves with an off-the-shoulder sheath dress for an unmistakable note of vintage elegance and glamour. Trendy brides are even trying out gloves in sharp colors like black and pearl gray. According to long-forgotten fashion rules, the length of the glove is dictated by the length of your sleeve—allow at least two inches of skin between the end of your glove and your sleeve. Of course, if you want to wear gloves at your wedding ceremony, practice taking them off gracefully so you can slip it off at the right moment to receive your ring!

Wedding shoes need to accomplish two almost contradictory goals—they need to both look fabulous and be comfortable. The easiest way to accomplish this, for most brides, is to wear a fabulous pair of heels, dyed to match the wedding dress, for the ceremony and photos, and then change to ballet flats for the dancing. Another option is to find a pair of ballroom dancing shoes; they are sexy but practical. One bride I know wore incredible red patent leather heels to match her red lipstick, and then changed to white sneakers so she could dance up a storm! Another bride matched her romantic lace dress with ivory suede booties that she could later pair with tights and wear again. If you do plan to change your shoes, talk to your tailor about pinning the skirt of your dress so it won’t get in your way or get damaged when you try to dance.

No matter what bridal look you choose, there is one rule you should never break: be yourself. Wear what makes your comfortable and makes you feel incredible. It’s your special day—whether you want fresh flowers in your hair or a whole stack of bracelets on your arm, you do what works for you. Wedding season is one of my favorite seasons of the year. Now although I told my boyfriend if he’s thinking about getting married to me I am not sure I want to be engaged again. I would prefer at this point a shotgun wedding and then all the time to plan out a real wedding after that. I know I’m weird but it is what I prefer at this point after things I’ve been through. However, nothing will stop me from my dream wedding that is for darn sure.

I have adding WeddingWire to some of my favorite resources for weddings because the website is easy to navigate, well thought out and so aesthetically pleasing. I love going to one of my favorite wedding sites since the prices are to die for! Oh yes…this is no lie we all know the $99 dress sale. If you haven’t figured it out by now..then upgrade your Cable. I am talking about David’s Bridal. They have the best selection this side of Mars on wedding gowns, brides maids and my new favorite, now that I have my own gown…flower girls!

I love their flower girl dresses selection because it is just has some of the most adorable selections in the world. I already have an idea on who I wanted to be the flower girl, however the age group has then gotten to big so I had to figure she’ll end up being a Jr. Brides maid. It is okay, now I’ll just have to find some wee person to put into one of these gorgeous dresses!

Let me tell you I just love cruising over to their website as I hum the tune “You’ll love David’s Bridal!” Yes, it is that catchy…and yes again… I do watch that much television.  It is the perfect place to shop from if you’re wedding party is out of town. Most states if not all have a David’s Bridal, and when in doubt order online! I’d order at least 1-2 sizes bigger than I would normally take. I would then have it ‘taken in’ at a seamstress so she can alter it to perfection. Hey..if you have to wear it..then work it girl! Cover girl!

Honestly its a great place to shop. Their dresses are beautiful. I personally love the flower girls dresses heck they look like perfect Sunday dresses for tea and biscuits!

Luckily for those girls in high school now, the internet is a big thing. You can do most of your shopping online to find prom dresses, prom shoes and even homecoming dresses. Rissyroos.com offers girls a wide variety of special occasion dresses from some of todays hottest designers like Jessica McClintock, Alyce Designs, Mac Duggal and Lauren Conrad. Fashions range from strapless to spaghetti and a-line to ball gown.

Now 1-800-Flowers is an amazing resource not just for flowers but for plants. Locally, I only have one florist unless I want to travel farther and pay even more. Either way neither one is cheap. So I have been looking at large commercial chains to figure out what to do for centerpieces and floral arrangements. I know exactly what I want flower wise but if it is too expensive I just might call and see if I can get a bulk discount. Even if I can’t get exactly what I want but it still looks gorgeous I think I will be happy. I don’t want to turn into a bridezilla! Gaah. First off I have been researching my bridal bouquet and one of my favorite plants to have around the house is a Calla Lilly .. more specifically a Mini Calla Lilly. I think they make gorgeous arrangements. Having approximately six of these in a clear vase is just so elegant. Private party, wedding or just every day they are absolutely gorgeous!

I have to say their selections are one of the bests I have found. They are absolutely perfect in every way. I received flowers from them before, as a gift from Fil at work. He sent me a dozen pink roses. I couldn’t believe how long they lasted either. They lasted almost 3 weeks before I finally had to toss them. I kept the vase it was really great quality. I was excited he thought of me to send flowers, but more importantly that they came in such a gorgeous arrangement. The next think they have to do is delve into the more edible arrangements. I think once they perfect that there is no stopping them!
