Now if you’ve been following my reviews you’ll know I’ve reviewed one of Wick’s books in the past and I was beyond pleased with it. So when I had the opportunity to review another one of her books of course I jumped at the chance. As soon as I got the book I sent it over to my kindle and promptly told everyone to shut their pie holes because I had important business to take care of.
Well of course they never listen but I was definitely threatening some adults and children when they were interrupting me through this book.
The book lived up to Wick’s previous novel, the only thing is this one did not get me misty eyed as the other one did. Her writing is superb and you definitely fall in love with the characters I was hoping for something a little longer and maybe giving an opening for a book for his friend Nick. However, the book truly didn’t leave you wanting for more in the best way. You felt complete by the end of the read. Which doesn’t happen to me often. Stand alone books aren’t the easiest thing in my opinion to write but Wick does it beautifully where you have everything you need and aren’t begging for more of the story because you feel parts are left out but begging for another book from the author.
I am now waiting on pins and needles for next book to come out!
