Book Review: Interred with Their Bones by Jennifer Lee Carrell
Reviewed by Jeannine.
William Shakespeare was a keen and mischievous writer of plays and poems. He was also a character of secrets and half-truths. Interred with Their Bones is a labyrinthine tale of murder and deception.
Kate Stanley, a professor of Shakespearian Literature, embarks on a trail of clues and esoteric codes that lead her to Harvard, England, Spain, and finally to the American Old West. Detective Chief Inspector Sinclair is always one step ahead of Kate as he is chasing after the murderer of Rosalind Howard, Professor Stanley’s long-time friend and mentor. (For some reason I kept picturing the actress Rachel Weisz as Kate).
The adventures that challenge Kate are dangerous and will keep you guessing until the last page. The myriad of characters that help, as well as deceive her, are quite surprising.
Jennifer Lee Carrell is an excellent writer. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

This book is really fun, smart, thrilling, and ultimately satisfying. What an absolutely painless way to learn a wealth about Shakespeare, and even if that isn’t your objective you’ll love this book. It is just a great story well told.
