AllerMates for Safer Play Dates
As a mom, I know how hard it is to keep an eye on the kids. Especially once they start school and going over to friends and even families houses, and are away from your eagle eye! Only one of my children had an allergy that was life threatening. My youngest daughter Reana had an allergy to penicillin. If given to her she could have died. So I was on double duty whenever she had a doctor’s, dentist and such appointment, even then I still ended up with a prescription for amoxicillin by mistake! Thank God I knew what it was! Now her son Jordon has a bad allergy to fish like tuna. So we are always a little worried now he is in school and we just pray no one gives him any fish. Well Allermates has come out with the cutest and fun way for kids to let adults and anyone who may need to know of
an allergy they have.
As a parent of a child with multiple food allergies, Iris Shamus the creator of AllerMates was surprised at the lack of creative and fashionable allergy awareness products available. She decided to create products that would not only help identify and safeguard kids with allergies, but ones that would also make them feel good about themselves regarding their allergies with products that were fun, colorful and let’s face it “cool”. They are made of the utmost quality and are hypo-allergenic (nickel and latex free). Rigorous child safety tests have been performed.
Their websi
te: www.allermates.com provides fun, education content and activities for kids with allergies featuring the Allermates characters.
Fun characters include: P. Nutty(nut), Eggie(egg), Pint(dairy) Detective Fin(fish), Soy Cool(soy), Nutso(tree nut), Crabby(shellfish), Professor Wheatley(wheat gluten). Each one has a fun, colorful cartoon character. Makes me want to buy one for myself!
Coming soon: Pollen, Sesame, Penicillin, Latex, and they also have T-shirts, danglers, lunch bags, Epi-pen cases, back packs, posters, trading cards and more. So now parents can sit back and chill (well a little) and know that at least there is a way to let everyone who needs to know that the kids have allergies.
AllerMates wants to give one reader a necklace and dogtag of the allergy the child in their life has. Please follow the rules below to get one of your own. Please visit the website to see all they offer. www.allermates.com. Good luck!
