Camp is Essential

Camp Parents

I always wanted to go to camp when I was younger. We could never afford it and I was too shy to attend. I wish I would have went now, because I heard so many wonderful stories about 4-H camp. It was always offered for the students in our school. I do believe that camp is essential for children. Going to camp not only provides the children with learning skills, but independent skills, leadership skills, communication skills, and the chance to meet new people and make life long friends. Each skill is essential to your child’s future and your child will be able to benefit from all experiences he/she learns during camp. One camp, in particular, has shown amazing results where 100% of the children graduated high school and 98% of the children who completed the program went off to college. The C5 Youth Foundation is a camp, which was started to give underprivileged children in the Los Angele’s area an opportunity to benefit from camp. In this camp, students will start the program in the seventh grade and continue on for five years. There are many camps similar to this that could be available in your area. The ACA (The American Camp Association) is working hard to provide a camp opportunity for every child. Parents can go online to find a camp in their area, or in another state if they feel comfortable with sending their child out of state, and find a camp that will be suitable for their child. Parents will also be able to view a camp planner and receive expertise advice about camp. Give your child the experience he/she deserves. There are many benefits in camp that can improve your child’s social skills and help him/her to excel in the future.
