Belisi Square Scarves

As last week I spoke about Belisi’s Fashions in their long scarves and the things you can do with them aside from wearing them. I prefer the short scarves for other types of projects. You can see the complete line of scarves at : www.belisi.com. The best part is we will be featuring more ideas with products from the Belisi Fashion line, so check out the section in our Shopping & Style for more awesome ideas!

Now with the square scarves these are really nice because you can put them in frames! Plus your framing will be cheaper since they are only 36×36. All at great prices. One of my favorite colors is green and I think this green scarf is just gorgeous. I have a handbag this would go perfect with tied around the hand. (2nd idea)

When you decide to take things like silk scarves and use them as accents around the house there are more things you can do with them, depending on how crafty you are. I’m going to outline 3 ideas with what you can do with silk scarves these sizes!

First idea! Turn your favorite old scarf into a picture. I would recommend getting it cleaned and pressed professionally before you start any of this. Silk is sensative, I prefer to take mine to a professional cleaner every so often! Now after your scarf is all clean, or if your scarf is brand new like the one featured to the right ($46) All you need to do is obtain the dimensions. This scarf is 36×36. Now you need to goto your local framers. I usually goto Michael Arts & Crafts because they have a huge selection of frames. However, if you prefer to promote local shops goto your local art gallery more often than not they will frame your art. It’s another sale, and you might pick up some paintings you like while your there wearing your fashionable scarves :P

My room is mainly reds and browns. However, my curtains have so many different colors in them, that I can pretty much put anything in the walls and it will pull the colors out of the curtains. I’m lucky. There are 36 Belisi scarves to choose from, prices range from $46-$52. That all you need to do is choose your matte and frame and there you go! You have a rather unique piece of art work for your room of choice. The best part is depending on the scarf they have different shades so I would chose patters within close range of each other and place them as a nice center piece atop of my bed.

Second Idea! Pillows! If you are especially crafty a nice silk pillow can do wonders. Right now my bedding is a dark cream with red flowers and vines embroidered in it. This means if I want to accent my bedding I’ll have to choose either cream family based, or red family based. My sheets are blood red, or stark white. So I can also use white to pull out the sheets. Now I’m choosing in my head that this would go great on my bed. I would make two pillows generally since you can also use this as accent pillows on a couch as well. So many ideas so little time!

Remember, always research what type of delicate threading would not snare this silk. You don’t want to waste a scarf! I would buy 2 scarves per pillow, one for front and back. However you don’t have to. You can use the scarf in the left and have a white shade or red shade background to match. I would recommend white it is easier to find! So if you choose to do that instead of buying 4 scarves for 2 pillows you only have to buy 2 scarves! But I’m neurotic so I would want the design showing no matter if the pillow as front or back.

Third Idea! Scarves for your bag! Depending on the color of your bag almost any scarf will work! Especially if you have a black or white bag! Brighter colors will pop more with such a stark/dark background to work with. You can either tie them in a long drape knot, or in a beautiful bow. Go ahead and tickle your fancy! You can also do this with a Belisi tie!
